Eighteen years of good beer... Not trendy beer.
The beer was great, the food was great, the staff was friendly, and knowledgeable. Be sure to ask Jeremiah and his fiancee about their days working with the circus, interesting people, with interesting stories.
Great beer, food and fantastic service! Jenn took wonderful care of us on Friday night and Allison on Monday late morning. The wine selection is very good, too, for the non-beer drinkers, like myself. Room for the kids to play and a beautiful view of the lake.
Attended a wedding anniversary dinner at the Kelley's Island Brewery. All the guests were greeted, served promptly and graciously. The food was prepared in a way that you could cut the roast beef or the chicken breast with your fork and very moist. A wonderful time for sharing a momentous occasion. I would definitely use this restaurant for my family gatherings.
Good breakfast at decent price. You'll pay $6 a pint.
Stopped in to try the local craft brew. The beer was mediocre at best !!! And we were a little taken back by the price ( 18.00 for one 16oz and one 12oz beer ) compared to other stops on the island providing many other quality options at much lower prices. Will definitely pass on this stop on our future visits to the island.
Food was good, service was slow, our server could not have been more apologetic. Lovely view.
Great food and friendly staff. Beautiful view of the lake while enjoying a craft beer outside!
Went for breakfast and WAY overpriced for two pure sugar mini frozen waffles and iced coffee that was more like flavored water
Very pricey food, and beer was poor to average. Service was nice, though!
Excellent food and views
Very poor service. We sat and waited, the waitress greeted us as we came in, looked at us several times and waited on every table around us including those who came in after. No one even came to our table or got us any drinks. We left after 20 minutes and found someplace else to eat.
Delicious breakfast!
A chill wave approaching the shore. A gem on the southern coast of Kelleys Island.
We had to quickly get off the lake while kayaking and the brewery was kind enough to take us during the storm. Enjoyed a few beers while waiting out the storm.
Food was very good, beer is outstanding and the service was amazing. The staff goes out of their way to make sure your enjoying yourself on the island. Great people who are great at their job!
Neat location and nice staff. We had drinks on the patio, dog friendly!
Bad experience. Waitress looked like she just woke up from sleeping under the tables. Service was slow, forgot drinks and even after that it took forever. We wanted seats in the sun and no one offered to move the numerous empty chairs to one of three available tables to accommodate us so we did it ourselves. We went there due to review of Best Bloody Mary's on the Island - not so much. The Margi was good but my $8 drink was so watered down it was a Crime. We ordered chips and salsa and got 95% crumbs. And, no they were not busy at all. Needless to say we didn't stay for a 2nd drink and will not likely go back.
Every time we have visited weve always had excellent, friendly, helpful service. The menu isnt large but theyre food is good and so are their beers. I recommend the Island Devil! The outside lawn seating area is great with a good view of the lake.
We had a great time at the brewery -- stopped for lunch with hangry kids and thirsty adults. Our server was fantastic. The food didn't knock your socks off and they were out of several of their beers, but overall, we had a great time. (For anyone reading who's in the business, this is how service can escalate a dining experience from mediocre to great -- take note!)
I really wanted this to be better than some of the reviews indicated, but this truely was the worst beer I've ever tasted. All sampled had some degree of burnt plastic taste ranging from echh to full blown melted army men!!! Experiments that escaped?
My daughter had her wedding here and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Patti and her staff were great. We had a family style dinner at the reception and the food was excellent and the beer great. The guests had a wonderful time; much to the credit of the Kellyes Island Brewery!
Beer was warm...been before but not bad..this time not so good
Good prices. Food was good priced as well. However didn't eat here, just had a beer. Overall I think it's a must stop, on the island. Was our first time at the island, was not much to do.
Good beer
Several different craft beers on hand. Had a good time
Family friendly with delicious food
I don’t normally write many reviews but felt this one was necessary. We stopped off to try this place at 6:30 pm on 8/4/18, a party of 5. The very first thing that happened was we were yelled at by the manager for going to the service area to order within 30 seconds of entering the building. Now I don’t expect to be treated like royalty but expect to be treated like a human being. Customers are the lifeblood of a business, but this manager should be running a hot dog stand in the downtown area.We left and I can say I will never go back again. When I patronize a business I expect courteous service, something I did not see here. None of us could believe how rude the manager was, worst I have ever been treated in a restaurant.
Great beer and tasty food. Outside seating with a view of Lake Erie. There are so many delicious breakfast choices. Google needs to update the menu on here. Friendly service. Would definitely recommend Kelley’s Island Brewery!
Beautiful view of water...quick trip from south bass... Beers under the trees with a fresh breeze
Honestly, nothing what I expected. The atmosphere was just a tent in someone’s back yard (with a decent view though) and a very awkward bar counter. Very casual, but okay service. Tried three brews and two of the three were below average and the third one was skunked. Mentioned to us that this happens frequently. Almost every customer was just ordering Bud Light’s, so let that speak to itself about the beers and don’t waste your time on Kelley’s Island stopping here.
Did a tour of the island . This is a great place. They have a great selection to choose from. A must stop if you like to taste different beers, they do a fantastic job.
The service was good and the food was great. My only complaint was that we weren't sure if we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. There was no sign to indicate which. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We aren't beer drinkers, so I can't speak to the brewery part of the establishment.
Really disappointed with this place. Kinda a dump but with a nice view. Our group did not find the beer good and the punch tasted like watered down generic brand crystal light. Food was ok.For a seasonal place the service needs a lot of work. The inside is screaming for a reno.
The best place on the island!!!
Service was extremely slow - came here with three others and we ordered three drinks in total (two beers and a mixed ice cream drink). Took the bartenders almost ten minutes just to get our beers and another five for the mixed drink. It wasn't crowded and this was on top of people ordering their drinks after us and getting theirs before us. The excuse given was that they were training new personnel in preparation for the season. They only had six or seven beers on draft and the two we had (Angler's Ale and an IPA; don't remember which one) weren't that impressive. The only nice part of our visit was the location - had a great view of the lake as the sun started to go down.
